I grew up sailing in Wisconsin with my family, and closely with my little sister, Alison. We quickly realized the two of us worked really together on the boat racing or cruising around (admittedly not all the time…sisters). The two of us have spent a lot of time on a boat together and hope that there is a lot more of it in our future.
Both Alison and I grew up with great sailors to look up to, and those examples are a huge reason why we have our aim on doing more sailing together. You can double hand a boat with anyone, and most people would probably not chose their younger sister. To sail the Atlantic Cup with Gator would not only be a lot of fun, but we would be competitive in the fleet. The two of us compliment each other to make a great team on and off the water.
Our long term goal of sailing around the world together is reachable, and we’re capable. That kind of event takes a lot of preparation – mentally and psychically. We love sailing, we love sailing together, we love going fast, and we love being competitive. This sounds like the perfect challenge for us.
